    Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

In the 1989 film Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner carved a baseball diamond out of his corn field, knowing that, "If you build it, they will come." If only the online world worked that way! You can build a spectacular website, but unfortunately without proper marketing/PR, it will likely remain a ghost town.

To guarantee that "they will come", the place to start is with the search engines. It has been shown that search engines attract more people to websites than all other advertising combined, including banners, newspapers, TV, and radio. If the search engines don't know you exist, then you may as well not.

We can help you increase your website's visibility on the major search engines and directories through a process called Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO involves: 1) optimizing the website itself — its design, content, architecture — to maximize its search engine "friendliness"; and then: 2) submitting the website's pages to the major search engines through an ongoing submissions program. Performance is carefully monitored over time, so that you can accurately assess your return on investment.

    3. Ordering Information

GSA has developed a fast and simple process for ordering the services you need. As a GSA Schedule Contractor, Greater Than One has been approved by the GSA as a company with reasonable pricing and a high level of skill. The following 4 steps describe the complete ordering process.

Step 1: Prepare a Statement of Work (SOW)

A SOW explains what work your organization needs done, with additional information such as:

    • Where the work is to be performed
    • How long you expect the work to take
    • When you expect the work to be delivered
    • Any special requirements the work may entail

Step 2: Place an Order with the Contractor of Your Choice

If your order is less than $2,500, you can choose a contractor and place the order right away

Step 3: Prepare a Request for Proposal (RFP)

If your order is over $2,500, you will need to send an RFP to 3 or more contractors.

An RFP contains information that the contractors need to bid on your work, and should include:

    • Your SOW, along with a request for pricing estimates specific to the SOW
    • A request for background information, such as samples from the contractor's past experience

Step 4: Review the RFP Responses You Receive, and Place an Order with the Contractor of Your Choice

    4. Special Item Number (SIN) Descriptions

Under our GSA Schedule Contract, Greater Than One can offer a wide range of web-based marketing services to federal agencies.
