The Position

The Senior Accountant serves as a team leader in the finance department and supports the department goal to create accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, financial reporting, supervision of junior accounting staff, and other special projects as assigned.

General Ledger Accountability:

  • Billing
    • Drafting as needed and reviewing client invoices drafted by junior staff
    • Obtaining signed SOWs and client POs from responsible parties
    • Maintaining client information in accounting system
    • Managing client inquiries as well as internal inquiries regarding client billing
  • Accounts Payable
    • Processing as needed and reviewing vendor invoices processed by junior staff
    • Managing vendor inquiries as well as internal inquiries regarding vendor payment
    • Supervising weekly check run and procedures involved in process
    • Maintaining vendor information in accounting system
  • Expense Reports
    • Processing as needed and reviewing expense reports processed by junior staff
    • Reconciling AMEX charges in accounting system to master AMEX statements
    • Following up with responsible parties concerning issues/questions about expenses
    • Enforcing expense policies implemented by organization

Financial Reporting:

  • Monthly Close
    • Identifying expense accruals and prepaid expenses from vendor invoices and AMEX statements
    • Preparing and entering monthly close reversing and adjusting journal entries
    • Investigating variances identified between budgeted expense amount and actual amount
  • Banking
    • Reviewing bank reconciliation for accuracy and the completeness of supporting documentation
    • Managing petty cash process to ensure the safeguarding of assets
  • Payroll
    • Processing payroll based upon notes provided by responsible parties
    • Creating and reporting employee withholdings to various third-party benefits providers
    • Reconciling payroll withholdings to invoices received from third-party benefits providers
    • Updating actual salary payment information in forecast on semi-monthly basis
    • Assisting with annual Form W-2 reconciliation, ACA filings and non-discrimination testings
  • Other
    • Developing and maintaining appropriate internal controls, systems and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
    • Creating efficiencies through implementation of new processes and procedures

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • At least 4 years of related work experience with a minimum of 3 years working at public accounting firm preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to manage workload to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to assist and complete tasks when help is needed
  • Firm enforcement of finance department policies and procedures without alienating other employees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Quickbooks required; knowledge of Advantage software a plus
Assistant Account Executive (AAE)

The Position

The AAE will be responsible for supporting the account team in all day-to-day internal activities and will collaborate with the creative and technology teams on high profile projects. Our client roster spans several industries with an emphasis on health care and pharmaceutical marketing. With the digital landscape changing every second, we look to our account team to lead the way with innovative thinking for our clients. Candidates will join a fast paced environment and an experienced client services team.

Skills

  • Assist in the development of key project documents including project briefs, media briefs, scope documents and change orders
  • Provide administrative support across projects – status reports, detailed meeting notes, client call reports, etc.
  • Ensure all internal teams sign off on necessary documents before sharing with the client
  • Play a supportive role in developing client presentations
  • Work closely with the manager and internal resources to understand the clients’ industry, businesses and brand, as well as digital marketing and media
  • Stay abreast of industry news and advances
  • Provide support throughout the brand planning process
  • Collaborate closely with the project management group to review timelines and estimates
  • Learn about digital media and tactics that can be leveraged in regulated industries
  • Maintain records of signed financial documentation and help facilitate the internal invoicing process
  • Help scope a project from beginning to end and aid manager by providing proper documentation

Requirements

  • 4-Year college degree (degree in marketing preferred)
  • Knowledge of or experience in digital marketing

The Position

Seeking an organized entry level Assistant Media Planner to join a full-service digital advertising agency with a specialty in healthcare based in the West Village, NYC. The Assistant Media Planner will have responsibilities for a few brands, working directly with the full media and account teams. Seeking a self-starter with a genuine Interest in healthcare who is interested in learning the craft of media planning.
