    GTO Announces New Chief Operating Officer

    Greater Than One announces the promotion of Patrick Rorke to Chief Operating Officer.

    Patrick joined GTO almost 3 years ago as a Group Account Director. Since joining GTO, Patrick has been instrumental in growing multiple brands. In addition, he has been a driving force in helping GTO to identify and enforce processes that benefit the agency's clients, as well as provide increased efficiencies. His track record of working with clients, coupled with his expertise with process, makes him uniquely suited for this role. He understands that client satisfaction is critical, and all of his work dealing with operations will have this sensibility in mind.

    Patrick has more than 20 years of digital advertising and marketing experience, has won multiple Webby Awards, and is a 5-time Web Marketing Association Awards winner.

    Stefan Armstrong Becomes a Partner at GTO

    Greater Than One, Inc., a leading independent digital solutions agency focused on healthcare, is happy to announce its latest partner, Stefan Armstrong.

    "Stefan started here in 2004 as a medical copywriter," said Elizabeth Apelles, GTO CEO. "Since then, he has contributed significantly not only to the growth of our physician marketing practice, but to the spirit of the company as well."

    Armstrong has nearly 20 years of experience developing communications for medical specialists, primary care physicians, academic researchers, nurses, pharmacists, and other ancillary care providers. His work is rooted in the understanding that, besides being highly qualified professionals, healthcare workers are people, too. "Tactics that resonate with human as well as intellectual needs are bound to be most effective," says Armstrong.

    For 7 years, Armstrong served as Director of Medical Content at GTO, and was responsible for leading content strategy and overseeing production and approval of all content. He led solutions to integrate content development into production for interactive media, quality assurance, and version control, increasing client satisfaction and agency efficiency. In his role as Partner, Armstrong is moving into GTO's Strategy group, where he will carry forward his sensitivity to content and how it can meet the needs of specific audiences.

    Prior to GTO, Stefan was an Editor for the National Kidney Foundation, Managing Editor for BioContinuum Group, and Senior Writer for Medi Cine, an HCP medical video production company. His work has received more than 50 awards, including 4 Webbys, 2 Hives, and a Cine Golden Eagle.

    GTO Expands to West Coast

    GTO, a pioneer in providing integrated digital marketing communications services has opened an office in San Francisco.

    "Two factors came together which made the opening of a San Francisco office a no-brainer," says Elizabeth Apelles, CEO of GTO as she announced the official opening of GTO, San Francisco. "Many of our clients are there, and one of our senior leaders was ready, willing and able to move."

    The new office, located in Embarcadero Square, will mirror GTO's successful New York operation — a fully integrated digital healthcare agency. Amanda Powers, Senior Partner and a GTO New York veteran, is moving west to take charge of the operation. "We are excited to be working more closely with our Bay Area Clients and to have the chance to expand our base to the West Coast," says Powers. She went on to say: "We are bringing in both local talent as well as senior talent from New York; we want to recreate the GTO culture with a West Coast flavor." To celebrate their arrival Powers is planning a networking party in GTO's new offices sometime in May, with the hopes of connecting with old and new friends in the digital healthcare space.

    Added Apelles, "This is the third GTO office — we added Madrid back in 2007, and certainly it won't be the last. As we grow both our client base and bench of senior leaders, we will continue to build GTO outposts."

    GTO is a full service integrated digital healthcare agency that works with a number of West Coast companies, including Genentech, Intermune and Life Technologies.

    GTO Europe Moves Office

    GTO Europe announced today that it has moved its Madrid-based offices to a new location, due to the recent success and expansion of the team. The change sees the company's European headquarters remain within the prime Salamanca district in central Madrid, making it highly accessible to both existing and new clients. According to Marc Michel, General Manager of GTO Europe, "the new space will allow us to double in size in terms of people. We expect to continue to have strong growth in 2011 and we are happy to have a space that will support our growth and operations."

    GTO Unveils State of the Art Physician Provider Site

    Greater Than One, a pioneer in providing integrated digital marketing communications services to healthcare clients, has unveiled jeffersonradiology.com, a new website for Connecticut's premier radiology service provider.

    "This represents a step-change in site experience and functionality relative to other radiology service providers," says Amanda Powers, Senior Partner at GTO. "We conducted significant research to arrive at a site strategy that will increase both patient and referring physician satisfaction with the overall Jefferson Radiology site experience."

    The site incorporates both physician and patient content, each with a host of important features. "Patients will find easy appointment access and intuitive service location filters, as well as patient education on what to expect across a range of specialty services — all important areas based upon the research we have done," says Pilar Belhumeur, GTO's Executive Creative Director. "For referring doctors, we have easy connectivity to Jefferson Radiology physicians, including the ability to text for immediate access." In addition, she notes that the site uses photography of actual Jefferson Radiology staff in an effort to heighten patient familiarity and comfort.
