The choices we've made
Eleven years ago, when GTO opened it's doors, we offerred digital media and search only. As we've grown, we had a number of directions to choose from. Stay in media/search or develop and fuller integrated offerring, sell to a holding company or remain independent, create our own technologies or partner with others. What knew did know was: Change was inevitable and ongoing; Digital was niche and it would be mass - world boundaries would be removed.
As a result, we needed to create a culture of leadership that was nimble and open and not afraid of new things. We needed an entrepreneurial company where senior managers owned the agency, thought like entrepreneurs and could stay close to the work. We needed to remain unshackled, so we were free to think about only ourselves and our clients. We loved healthcare because we wanted to contribute to humanity.
Today, I am happy to say that is what GTO is today: Fully Integrated and Digital, Entrepreneurial and Independent with the ability and desire to lead. This has allowed us to harness the enormous opportunities that have occurred both in our business and our clients. It has allowed us to harness the opportunities created by these changes and develop unexpected and effective solutions for our clients.
This past decade has offered us unprecedented opportunities to make a difference our lives, in our clients businesses and of course the people they serve. We expect our second decade to be even more exciting, and we will remain focused on seizing the opportunities that lie ahead.
